Help us shape Autm

Autm uses GDPR compliant analytics tools to better understand how people use the platform and improve the overall experience.

If you choose to opt in, we may collect anonymous interaction data such as clicks, scrolling behaviour, navigation patterns, session duration, and general device or browser information. We may also use heatmaps and anonymised session replay tools to help identify usability issues, improve interface design, and reduce friction across the product.

We use Hotjar to avoid capturing sensitive information. Passwords, payment details, private account areas, and sensitive form fields are masked or excluded from analytics collection where possible. Analytics are entirely optional and will only activate if you choose to accept them. You can change your preferences or withdraw consent at any time via My Account > Preferences. 

Analytics help us:

• improve usability and navigation

• identify bugs and friction points

• understand which features are helpful

• improve performance and reliability

• make design decisions based on real usage patterns

Our goal is to improve the product experience — not to profile individuals.

What data is collected

If you opt in, we may collect anonymous interaction data such as:

• page visits

• clicks and taps

• scrolling behaviour

• navigation flows

• device/browser information

• session duration

• general location information (e.g. country or region)

We may also use heatmaps and session replay tools to understand how interfaces are being used.

Session replay and heatmaps

Some analytics tools help us understand usability issues through anonymised session replay and heatmaps.

These tools show patterns of interaction such as:

• where users click

• how far pages are scrolled

• where navigation becomes confusing

This helps us improve interface clarity and reduce friction.

What we do NOT collect

We take steps to avoid collecting sensitive or personally identifying information.

Sensitive fields are masked or excluded from analytics collection, including:

• passwords

• payment information

• private form fields

• authentication areas

• sensitive account data

We do not use analytics data to make automated decisions about you.

Your choice

Analytics are optional. Autm analytics only activate if you choose to opt in.

You can:

• accept analytics

• decline analytics

• change your preferences later at any time via My Account > Preferences

Data retention

Analytics data is retained only for as long as necessary to improve and maintain the product experience.

We do not sell your data.
